Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, targeted Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate, by posting on Facebook on the 28th, "Lee Jae-myung = criminal family head certification (son fined 5 million won)."
This publicly pointed out that Lee's eldest son, Mr. Lee, received a summary conviction and a fine of 5 million won for posting writings on the internet that induced habitual gambling and sexual shame.
On that day, the People Power Party raised issues regarding the actions of presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung's son. Kim Hye-ji, chief spokesperson for the People Power Party's central election committee, criticized in a commentary that "Candidate Lee maintains silence despite his son repeatedly making low-grade sexual remarks about women while advocating for women's rights."
He further criticized, "Silence causes deep disappointment and distrust not only among women but also among all citizens, and we cannot help but doubt the authenticity of his claims about women's rights."
The spokesperson also stated that the expression in the controversial post by Lee's eldest son was "so explicit that it's hard to put into words and represents a deep sexual objectification that induces severe sexual shame."
He added, "Stop the 'selective women's rights' and 'finding women's rights for promotional purposes.' Citizens will no longer be deceived by the dual attitude of keeping silent when it is time to advance women's rights."
