Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate, announced the 'Preventing Rip-off Law' that mandates sports facilities to subscribe to guarantee insurance for more than three months of prepayment for gym and Pilates use on the 28th. The candidate noted that this was a suggestion of 'easy solutions to make everyday life comfortable' based on various posts published in online communities over the past year, stating, 'Politics should start not from grand slogans but by reducing small inconveniences in our daily lives.'

The nine major pledges are: ▲Promoting the gym and Pilates rip-off prevention law ▲Establishing a smart monitoring system for sinkholes nationwide ▲Creating penal provisions for bad parking and retaliatory parking at apartment complex entrances ▲Ensuring the effectiveness of penalties for illegal U-turns ▲Strengthening enforcement and penalties for camping car illegal parking ▲Introducing a lottery system for concert and sports ticketing ▲Resuming national support for eco-friendly agricultural product packages for pregnant women ▲Publicizing wedding company estimates for 'sde' ▲Establishing after-management functions for new gaming dedicated organizations and introducing a voluntary review system in the private sector.

In particular, regarding the introduction of a 'fair reservation system', the results of a survey conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission last year on the need for criminal penalties for resale tickets (96.8% in favor) were also included. The candidate stated that to prevent overwhelming reservation websites and eliminate resale tickets, a lottery system will be introduced instead of first-come, first-served ticketing.

In the case of the 'gym and Pilates rip-off prevention law,' it has been decided to mandate local governments to report any sports facilities that frequently encounter similar incidents and to require a notice at least '30 days in advance' if they plan to suspend operations or go out of business. Administrative penalties and fines will be imposed for violations. Additionally, there is a plan to run a support center for 'rip-off victims' in connection with the Fair Trade Commission and local governments.

The candidate mentioned, 'No matter how small the hardship, it is the role of politics to swiftly address it,' and stated, 'I will fulfill my responsibilities through 'helping hand politics' that scratches where the public itches and 'lifestyle politics' that creates changes felt by the people.'
