One week before the June 3 presidential election, during the last TV debate hosted by the National Election Commission on the 27th, Lee Jae-myung, the candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, and Lee Jun-seok, the candidate from the Reform Party, engaged in a heated discussion regarding Lee Jun-seok's whereabouts on the day of the emergency declaration on December 3 of last year.

During the candidate debate themed around 'politics' held at 8 p.m. in the MBC studio in Mapo District, Seoul, Lee Jae-myung asked Lee Jun-seok, "I simply can't understand how you managed to leave, shower, and waste time while drinking. Please clarify."

In response, Lee Jun-seok countered, "I was close to home, and another member who was present at the dinner did the same thing. The claim that I was trying not to enter the National Assembly is a falsehood."

Lee Jae-myung said, "While you were arguing outside the National Assembly, someone said next to you, 'You need to go over the wall,' and you seemed to ignore that and said, 'Shut up, kid.' Others climbed over the wall to get in."

When Lee Jun-seok rebutted, "By that time, the voting was already over," Lee Jae-myung remarked, "The main point I am asking is why you went home to shower and change clothes, which seems quite relaxed."

Lee Jun-seok then asked, "Then who are the 17 Democratic Party members who didn't come in at that time?" and Lee Jae-myung replied, "Don't talk about other things, focus on yourself. Don't shift the topic."

In this regard, Lee Jun-seok remarked, "I don't understand what you're trying to achieve. Are you trying to morally accuse me?" He added, "I wasn't taking my time and immediately went and immediately came out. I was also communicating with two members of the Democratic Party."
