People Power Party’s Kim Moon-soo, a presidential candidate, criticized the allegations of credit card misuse against Democratic Party of Korea’s Lee Jae-myung’s wife, Kim Hye-kyung, during an appearance on a television program.
On the 24th, Mrs. Seol appeared on the segment ‘The Branch Manager is Coming’ of Coupang Play’s ‘SNL Korea Season 7’ and, when asked who she thought was less of a supportive spouse between Kim Hye-kyung, who used a corporate card to dine out, and Kim Keon-hee, who received luxury bags, she answered, “The first one (Kim Hye-kyung).”
She noted, “Legal cards are public money, our citizens' taxes,” adding, “It seems worse.” In a poem written in the name of Kim Hye-kyung, he said, “Kim, you lose your flavor. Hye-kyung of the Kim family. It’s a role to strike the gong.”
In a skit where he played a convenience store part-time worker, he directly told actor Jung Il-rang, who appeared disguised as Kim Hye-kyung, “Please do not use the legal card from now on.”
Mrs. Seol also responded to a request to compare the presidential candidates to products in the convenience store, stating that Candidate Kim is “clean water, life water,” Candidate Lee Jae-myung is “thick coffee because it’s murky,” and Reform Party’s Lee Jun-seok is “ice cream.”
Regarding Lee Jun-seok, she remarked, “I think of him not as an opposing party but rather as a family member. He’s a family member we need to unify with and embrace,” adding, “That’s why it’s sweet.”
