Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, noted on the 23rd about the unification with Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok, saying, "Politics is very fluid and dynamic," leaving open the possibility.

After finishing the second TV debate at the KBS headquarters in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, Kim said to reporters regarding the question, "The previous day, candidate Lee nailed down that he would not unify; do you see a possibility before the printing of ballots (on the 25th)?"

Kim said, "As you know, there are things that can’t happen and things that can’t happen," adding, "What doesn’t happen today can happen tomorrow, today’s ally can become tomorrow’s enemy, and today’s enemy can become tomorrow’s ally." He continued, "We were originally from the same party, the same root; we are just apart now."

Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, referred to Reform Party candidate Lee Jun-seok as "the same root," leaving open the possibility for unification. In response, Lee said, "Unification is an illusion," once again drawing a line.

Regarding the question that Kim seems to have raised the level of attacks against the Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung compared to the first debate, he self-assessed, "There are so many issues that everything I shot hit the target."

Reform Party presidential candidate Lee Jun-seok said, "To deal with the lying and arrogant candidate Lee Jae-myung, I, Lee Jun-seok, am the optimized person who can sharply question and pinpoint false responses."

Lee noted, "Today, candidate Lee Jae-myung is dodging and refusing to answer when asked to explain how to secure the budget for the caregiving system he promised," adding, "Every time a funding plan comes out, he runs away, and this irresponsible politics must disappear."

Regarding candidate Lee Jae-myung attacking the issue of unification among the conservative candidates, he said, "Isn't it Lee Jae-myung's delusion?" adding, "Just the fact that he spent this precious discussion time to make his political claims shows that Lee Jae-myung has no answers."
