Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, will visit former President Park Geun-hye on the evening of the 24th. This is the first time during the presidential campaign period that Kim has met with the former president. With support rates hovering around 60% in various opinion polls in Gyeongbuk, a 'conservative stronghold,' unlike past presidential elections, this is seen as a move towards 'consolidating conservatism.'

Lee Chung-hyung, the spokesperson for the election campaign committee, met with reporters after a campaign rally in Sangju, Gyeongbuk, that afternoon and said, 'After the campaign in Chilgok is finished, we plan to visit former President Park Geun-hye at around 7:30 p.m. at her residence in Dalseong-gun.'

This meeting was initiated by Kim's side. The spokesperson said, 'We conveyed our intention to visit and meet with former President Park, and she graciously responded, making this meeting possible.'

Attending the meeting will be Yun Jae-ok, the head of the campaign committee, and Shin Dong-uk, the chief spokesperson, as well as Representative Yoo Young-ha, who is considered a close aide to former President Park. Attention is focused on what message Park will convey to Kim.

Before the visit, Kim will also stop by the birthplace of former President Park Chung-hee in Gumi, Gyeongbuk.

Meanwhile, pro-Park Geun-hye groups including the Free Unified Federation, the group of supporters who love Park Geun-hye, Geun-hye Dong-san, and New Park Sa-mo declared their support for Kim, stating, '(Kim) is a person who has lived the values of conservatism through freedom and responsibility, patriotism, and devotion.'
