Members of former President Park Geun-hye's support group declared their support for Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, on the 23rd.

The 'Federation of Support Groups for Love of Park Geun-hye,' composed of pro-Park (pro-Park Geun-hye) groups such as Geun-hye-dongsan, New Park Sa Mo, and Pumpkin Family, held a press conference at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and stated, "We declare that we will fully support Kim, who will carry on the former president's intentions."

The federation claimed regarding Kim Dong-ryul, the chairperson of the Democratic Party of Korea's National Unity Committee, who introduced himself as the 'supporter of Park Geun-hye' and declared support for Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate, on the 19th, that he is "a person with no connection to the former president’s support group."

The federation noted that it plans to take legal action against Kim early next week, including filing a lawsuit.

It stated, "Although Kim once served as the representative of a support group for the former president, he publicly supported candidate Lee, who is contrary to the former president's intentions in the last presidential election, yet he continues to act as if he represents the former president's support group."

Lee In-ho, a former KBS chairman and honorary professor at Seoul National University, and 113 women leaders, including Kim Gil-ja, former president of Kyung-in Women’s University, held a press conference at the National Assembly that day and declared their support for Kim.

In addition, the National Retired Officials Union, the Korean Herbal Medicine Association's Policy Support Committee, and the Park Chung-hee and Yuk Young-soo Memorial Association also declared their support for Kim.
