Kim Yong-tae, chairperson of the People Power Party's emergency response committee, on the 21st urged Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party, to become a guide that opens the path for justice to prevail in this presidential election, reiterating a 'call for unification.'

The chairperson noted on Facebook earlier that day, 'We must eventually join forces. If the conservative home cannot be repaired, I will build a better house in its place.'

He praised, 'Lee Jun-seok was the party leader who achieved victories in the 2021 Seoul mayoral re-election, the 2022 transfer of power to conservatives, and local election victories.'

'Lee Jun-seok is running toward the same goal as us from a different perspective. We are fighting to protect our precious national community from a criminal with boundless greed for power,' he said, asking, 'Complete the people's pledge in a manner that promises the fairest and most innovative future.'

Candidate Kim Moon-soo recently stated that 'Our party's mistakes have caused Lee Jun-seok to struggle outside,' creating an atmosphere for unification.

However, candidate Lee Jun-seok continues to draw the line, saying 'There will be no unification.' The Reform Party's stance is that discussions on unification can only occur if the People Power Party makes efforts to rebel against the coup and impeachment, apologizes, cuts ties with forces alleging fraud, and addresses relationships with figures related to former President Yoon.
