The People Power Party announced on the 20th a women's pledge for the 21st presidential election that focuses on expanding health insurance coverage for the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, which prevents cervical cancer, to all men and women under 26, and on fully compensating six days of leave for infertility treatment.

The government will also expand support for child care services to the private sector and introduce an EFG (Environment, Family, and Transparent Governance) management certification system to establish a family-friendly management culture.

The policy headquarters revealed the commitment titled 'We will create a nation where women shine.'

Furthermore, to ensure women's safety, it has been decided to nationalize the 'women's safety dwelling certification,' which is granted by some local governments to homes that meet certain criteria such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) and unattended delivery boxes, and to expand this to regions with a high concentration of female single-person households, such as college areas and multi-family housing.

A promise was also made to establish a system to prevent and protect against dating violence, domestic violence, and deepfake crimes.

In the field of child care, it was decided to fully expand government support for child care services to the private sector and diversify the support forms, including providing vouchers for child care services. Parents with two or more children will also receive vouchers for housekeeper services approximately twice a month.

It was also noted that parental leave benefits will be expanded to small business owners, self-employed individuals, one-person business operators, and freelancers, who are not covered by employment insurance, to address gaps in coverage.

To strengthen the safety net for single-person and unmarried households, a 'designated caregiver registration system' will be introduced, allowing acquaintances and community members who are not based on blood or marital relationships to be registered as legal guardians.

The implementation of a 'partial worker representative system' will allow female workers to change working conditions related to women solely based on their opinions, and efforts will also be made to introduce the EFG (Environment, Family, and Transparent Governance) management certification system and provide tax benefits to foster a family-friendly management culture.

The People Power Party explained, 'Unlike in the past, where women's policies have been limited to protection or support, we aim to provide support and encouragement to allow each woman to live autonomously and proactively in the way she desires, focusing on opportunities and growth.'
