The time Hong Joon-pyo changed his photo was around 12:08 p.m. on the same day the People Power Party's special envoy arrived at the Big Island in Hawaii. The special envoy was dispatched to garner support from Hong Joon-pyo for candidate Kim Moon-soo.

The post received comments like, "Is changing from a red tie to a blue tie a declaration of support for the Democratic Party?" and "Has the Democratic Party emphasized integration government and national unity?"

There were mixed reactions, including comments like, "Don't meet with the special envoy group," and "If there is no Hong Joon-pyo, the People Power Party is losing, so please come back."

Among them, Representative Kim Dae-sik arrived in Hawaii to persuade Hong Joon-pyo and spoke via phone on SBS 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show,' saying, "Hong Joon-pyo said, 'Don't come,' but I will definitely meet and return," adding, "It will be different when I see his face."

He continued, "I was the head of the candidate's support team during the last 20th presidential election, and this time, I rushed to the primary camp first to declare my support and take on the role of secretary-general, so I came this far and I don't think he will refuse to meet."

Representative Kim also said, "If we meet, I will directly deliver a message filled with candidate Kim Moon-soo's heartfelt plea, 'I will respect whatever decision Hong Joon-pyo makes.'"

After being eliminated from the People Power Party's presidential primary, Hong Joon-pyo declared his retirement from politics along with his departure from the party and chose to go to the United States. Since then, he has continued to criticize the People Power Party sharply.
