Han Dong-hoon, former representative of the People Power Party, urged on the 19th that former President Yoon Seok-youl and his spouse must boldly sever ties with extreme groups such as the Liberty Unification Party. He pressured once again that there must be a visible transformation to support Kim Moon-soo's presidential campaign and to expand the center and outreach.
In a Facebook post that day, Han said, "To persuade voters to support our candidate, we must demonstrate that we can directly overcome martial law and impeachment, and boldly sever ties with extreme groups such as former President Yoon Seok-youl and the Liberty Unification Party, as well as extreme right-wing YouTubers." He added, "We must change boldly and directly without hesitating. That's how we can win."
He unleashed a barrage of criticism targeting Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
In another post, he pointed out regarding the candidate's regional currency pledge, "The essence of regional currency is creating a 10% discount coupon that can only be used in specific regions and specific retail businesses, funded by taxes from all citizens."
He continued, "The expense of issuing regional currencies is said to be nearly 10% of the issuance amount," and added, "If 1 trillion won in regional currency is issued, it means that 100 billion won will be wasted instead of going back to the local residents. This represents the reality of the 'hotel economics' that candidate Lee Jae-myung is talking about." He criticized, saying, "If it had been provided in cash, it could have been used more effectively, but receiving it in regional currency inevitably leads to what is called 'cash-cycling.' Local governments have to spend more to crack down on cash cycling. The inefficiency spreads overwhelmingly. In exchange for this inefficiency, the country may be ruined, but he intends to secure his votes, which is the essence of Lee Jae-myung's regional currency theory."
Meanwhile, Han is set to support Kim Moon-soo's presidential campaign starting from the 20th in Gwangalli, Busan. He plans to visit Seomun Market in Daegu on the 21st, and Cheongju Yukgeori Market and Wonju Jungang Market in Gangwon on the 22nd. It is reported that Han intends to assist the election autonomously without officially joining the party's election campaign committee.
