Former People Power Party representative Han Dong-hoon will begin supporting Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, starting from the 20th. The schedule involves first moving around the 'Yeongnam Belt' centered in Busan and Daegu, and then expanding the election campaign areas to Gangwon and Chungcheong.
Representative Han Ji-a of the 'Pro-Han faction' noted in a call with ChosunBiz on the 18th, "We plan to start in Busan and then go to Daegu and other areas in Yeongnam," adding, "We will also visit Cheongju in Chungbuk and Wonju in Gangwon."
On the 20th, Han will join the campaign support for Kim at 5:30 p.m. at the Samgeori in Gwangalli Namcheon Beach Park. On the 21st, he will engage in a campaign support at the Seomun Market in Daegu.
On the morning of the 22nd, he will continue the campaign support at the Yukgeori Market in Cheongju, and in the afternoon at the Jungang Market in Wonju, Gangwon.
However, Han's side emphasized that the campaign support does not indicate joining the party's election committee.
A spokesperson for Han noted, "The start of the campaign does not mean joining the election committee. We have not communicated the campaign schedule with the election committee. It is an autonomous campaign."
Furthermore, regarding Han's three demands (the party's shift in stance against the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, severing ties with the Yoon couple, and distancing from radical groups such as the Liberty Unification Party), it was stated, "(These demands) are not about whether to join the election committee; they are naturally something a party should do." Additionally, "(Han) is already campaigning. Each one is doing what they need to do from their respective positions."
