Han Dong-hoon, former representative of the People Power Party, said on the 17th, “I again request candidate Kim Moon-soo's decision on three issues: opposition to martial law, separation from former President Yoon Seok-youl and the party, and drawing lines with extreme forces.”
Former representative Han did not directly evaluate former President Yoon's declaration of leaving the party but noted, “I will meet with the public in the field next week,” indicating support for candidate Kim's campaign.
Through Facebook that day, former representative Han stated, “I am convinced that at least opposition to martial law, separation from former President Yoon Seok-youl and the party, and drawing lines with extreme forces such as the Justice Party are essential for our party's victory,” and added, “I requested candidate Kim to make a decision on these three matters and accept them by the 18th, when the presidential candidate debate will be held. I request this decision again.”
He continued, “Regardless of whether these three tasks are accepted or not, I am doing what needs to be done for our party, and I will continue to do so,” and noted, “I will meet with the public in the field next week.”
Former President Yoon stated that day, “I will leave the People Power Party today. Although I am leaving the party, I will serve valiantly to safeguard freedom and sovereignty. Please rally your support for Kim Moon-soo of the People Power Party.”
