The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 17th that Chairperson Kim emphasized this during his visit to a flying regiment under the 1st Air Force Division on the 15th, where he led the training.
The Korean Central News Agency explained that the training was conducted with the purpose of training the air units and anti-aircraft missile divisions, radar detection divisions, and electronic warfare divisions to detect, track, and eliminate enemy cruise missiles and drone attacks using various electronic means.
It was also stated that "tests of new long-range precision-guided bombs and assault combat training of the air units against targets were conducted."
In addition, it was reported that "after the elimination of enemy drones using helicopters and precision bombing training against maritime targets, there were demonstration flights of unmanned strategic reconnaissance aircraft and multi-purpose drones."
Chairperson Kim noted that "training like today is very beneficial for training pilots in modern aerial combat techniques."
The agency reported that he also "presented important tasks regarding the development direction of air weapon systems, anti-aircraft defense means, detection electronic warfare integrated systems, and unmanned vehicle integrated systems," but did not provide specific details on the tasks.
During Chairperson Kim's guidance of the air force training, top officials from the Labor Party Central Committee, including Pak Jong Chon, Cho Chun Ryong, and Kim Jong Sik, along with Ri Byong Chol, the total advisor for military supply policy within the party's Central Committee, and Kim Yong Hwan, the head of the Defense Science Institute, accompanied him.
