On the afternoon of the 16th, Kang Hoon-sik, head of the Democratic Party election countermeasures office, held a press conference at the party's office in Yeouido, Seoul, and noted, "There are significant concerns among supporters regarding the candidate's security. We plan to complete the production of the bulletproof glass shield early next week and install it."

Kang stated, "The bulletproof glass cannot be produced on a large scale, and I predict it will take the form of blocking from both sides when the candidate is standing on the podium."

He added, "You will be able to see the details early next week."

Kang said, "Despite the threat of terrorism, the candidate is engaging with the people who truly hope for a better Korea in the field of their lives."

He also said, "The candidate really wants to meet voters and shake hands, but due to various reports and the concerns of supporters, he is unable to do so, which is regrettable for both the candidate and the camp."

Recently, the Democratic Party has stated that there have been constant reports of terrorism threats targeting this candidate, including the smuggling of sniper rifles.
