Kim Yong-tae, the nominee for chairperson of the People Power Party emergency response committee, noted on the 15th that "many citizens seem to be interested in how the People Power Party will cross the river of impeachment this time," and added, "I will complete all the processes needed to cross this within this week."

On the same day, Kim said on YTN Radio, "Whether one is for or against impeachment, isn’t it true that many citizens acknowledge that ‘the impeachment was justified’?"

Kim is on the verge of officially taking office after passing the national committee.

Kim pointed out that while it may be important to look at the expulsion and resignation of former President Yoon Seok-youl, what is more important might be the relationship with past presidents, saying, "Creating a healthy party-government relationship has been the destiny of the political sphere."

He continued, "In the case of the previous Moon Jae-in administration, the Democratic Party was criticized as the 'Branch Office' of the Blue House, and during the past Yoon Seok-youl administration, the People Power Party has faced similar criticisms," and stated, "Therefore, we are working to establish a model for a healthy ruling party this time."

Regarding the prospects for the formation of a 'big tent' of conservatives, Kim said, "Didn’t I mention that we are normalizing the things that have held back the People Power Party today?" He added, "If that’s the case, figures such as former representative Han Dong-hoon, as well as others who have proposed various reform plans, have a legitimate reason to come in now."

He emphasized, "The time has come for everyone to unite and work hard for the victory of candidate Kim Moon-soo. We can no longer delay this." He also stated, "I am continuing to engage with legislators who have supported former representative Han and to ensure that I show proper respect to former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, receive his insights wisely, and prepare to serve him."
