Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate, mentioned the name of the next government as "People's Sovereignty Government" on the 15th. During a street speech in Yeonhyang-dong, Suncheon, South Jeolla Province, he sequentially referred to the "Government of the People" (Kim Dae-jung), the "Participatory Government" (Roh Moo-hyun), and the "Civilian Government" (Kim Young-sam), and said, "I am considering what to name the next government. I believe that the symbol of that government is people's sovereignty. People's Sovereignty Government," he stated.

He also mentioned "integration." The candidate said, "The next government needs to uphold the principle of people's sovereignty while being an integrating government," and added, "Do not divide and attack or extermination due to small differences; let’s compromise and negotiate to reach a rational conclusion," he noted. He further stated, "If we cannot reach a rational conclusion, let’s adhere to the delegated power decision."

In the political arena, there are comments that the candidate will engage in widespread political retaliation against the People Power Party, the prosecution, and the judiciary after coming to power. In particular, the Democratic Party views the Supreme Court's decision to remand the case of the candidate's violation of the Public Official Election Act as "election interference" and is pushing for a special counsel (special investigation) law for the Supreme Court Chief Justice Jo Hee-dae, among others. The candidate responded by saying, "Someone might say, 'That person (the candidate) has also suffered a lot, so they will do the same to others,' but I have no interest in that," he stated.
