Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate from the People Power Party, has appointed Na Kyung-won, a lawmaker of the People Power Party, and Jeong Hwang-geun, the former Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, as additional members of the Presidential Election Countermeasure Committee.

The Central Election Countermeasure Committee of the People Power Party released a press statement on the 15th, noting, "Candidate Kim appointed lawmaker Na as the Chairperson of the 'Judicial Independence Protection and Anti-Dictatorship Struggle Committee' and former Minister Jeong as the Chairperson of the 'Future Agriculture Special Committee.'"

The Central Election Countermeasure Committee explained, "Candidate Kim has made additional appointments focusing on preventing dictatorship, safeguarding judicial independence, and building a solid agricultural foundation." It also emphasized, "We will firmly confront the dictatorship that undermines law and justice and open a future responsible for food security and the sustainability of agriculture."

Meanwhile, the Judicial Independence Protection and Anti-Dictatorship Struggle Committee held its first meeting in the afternoon at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul. This committee is composed of three subcommittees: the ▲Legislation Rush Prevention Committee, the ▲Judicial Protection Committee, and the ▲Civil Alliance for Rule of Law Protection Committee, with several lawmakers from the People Power Party, including Yoo Sang-beom, the committee's secretary from the Legislation and Judiciary Committee, Kim Do-eup, and Jeong Jeom-sik, all of whom are legal professionals.
