Lee Jun-seok, the Reform Party presidential candidate, noted on the 14th, “The People Power Party is threatening that if we don’t unify, it will create traitors, and it seems to be under the illusion that I would flinch.” He thus firmly drew a line against the repeated calls for unification from inside and outside the People Power Party.

On that day, the candidate said on Facebook, “The People Power Party is misled into thinking that if they say things like, 'If you don’t unify, you will be marked as a traitor and be unable to do politics,' in various versions and ways, I would flinch.”

The candidate pointed out, “Didn’t they engage in misconduct to kill people even if they help win the presidential election and the local elections?” and added, “If they intend to compete with threats, they should try a stronger threat with a new item.”

The candidate added, “Those who have been plotting to eliminate Lee Jun-seok for years at the People Power Party, the broadcasting panelists, and those who would suffer if Lee Jun-seok succeeds—do they think they would blink an eye if they talk more now?” and expressed, “It’s unfortunate. I hope they put more effort and sincerity into raising Kim Moon-soo as a candidate.”

While in Busan, the candidate met with reporters and said, “Even if unification were to happen, if the larger force is forcefully suppressing the smaller one, it will not resonate with the people at all.” He emphasized, “The move of the larger one aggressively going against the smaller one is what the younger generation finds 'extremely disgusting.'”

He added, “I believe that the People Power Party has already given up on the presidential election and is fighting over party leadership.” He noted, “If the people direct their votes to Lee Jun-seok, who can achieve first place through turbulence, rather than to Kim, who can only be in second place or lower, it will be an election where David defeats Goliath.”
