On the 11th, Han Dong-hoon said, "To revive the People Power Party, we must properly hold the pro-Yoon coup forces accountable."
This followed strong criticism from former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, who had participated in the People Power Party's presidential primary, stating, "Now, Kweon Young-se and Kweon Seong-dong, along with Park Soo-young and Sung Il-jong, should resign from their positions and retire from politics, taking responsibility for the confusion they caused in the presidential primary."
Han noted on his Facebook that, "Who are the masterminds behind the people that have confused our party's presidential election with a scheme to boost Han Duck-soo's themed stocks for over a month and have laid a flower path for Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate?"
He also asked, "What is the reason that the pro-Yoon faction continues to be so swayed by former President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife?"
Han pointed out, "If a coup has been suppressed but the coup forces continue to hold their positions, that coup is not a failure, but a success."
The party’s emergency countermeasure committee decided to change the nomination of the presidential candidate to the independent preliminary candidate Han Duck-soo and conducted a vote among party members on the 10th to gather opinions on this. When the vote failed, candidate Kim Moon-soo automatically regained his candidacy and officially registered as the presidential candidate on the 11th.
