According to the Ministry of Education on the 11th, the Acting President instructed the Korean National Police Agency to focus on the protection and safety management of candidates during the election campaign period.

This instruction was issued as the registration for the 21st presidential candidates closed. Given the recent intensification of social conflicts, the highest level of security measures is needed.

The Acting President said, "Elections are the foundation of democracy," and "no threat to candidates can be tolerated."

He emphasized, "Please make special efforts to protect the candidates and ensure their safety throughout the election campaign period."
