Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, apologized on the 11th after registering as the final party candidate, acknowledging that the process had not been smooth and bowing deeply.

On that day, Kim attended a meeting of People Power Party lawmakers and stated, “There can be differences of opinion during the primary process. Sometimes words and actions can leave wounds.” He added, “As the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, I sincerely apologize for not being able to embrace wider perspectives.”

He further stated, “Especially, how much have you, the people, suffered? I sincerely apologize and offer a deep bow to promise to do better.” He also noted, “Now is the time to embrace each other’s past wounds and move forward toward the future.”

Kim emphasized, “The Republic of Korea stands at a significant crisis. The economy has fallen into a zero-growth swamp, and low birth rates threaten the nation.” He claimed, “However, Lee Jae-myung (Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate) is misleading the public with lies while being aware that the country is drowning in debt and exercising legislative dictatorship.”

Kim stated, “This presidential election is not merely a simple restoration of power, but a historic moment that will determine the fate of the Republic of Korea,” adding, “It is a command from the people and the desperate aspiration of everyone who wants to protect the Republic of Korea.”

Kim continued, “I hope everyone will join together to uphold the constitutional order of the Republic of Korea,” and stated, “Let’s unite all forces to block anti-national and anti-regime elements.”

Recently, Kweon Seong-dong, the floor leader who had clashed with Kim over the issue of unification with Han Duck-soo, also expressed his support. Kweon stated, “Although there have been various ups and downs, since the party members' will is with Kim Moon-soo, let’s forget everything now and rally around Kim to strive for power restoration.”
