Reform Party's presidential candidate Lee Jun-seok noted on the 11th, “I will achieve a generational change and a transition era that moves forward, neither left nor right.”

On this day, at a press briefing in the Busan City Council, the candidate said, “Alongside the choice of extending the power with Kim Moon-soo or changing it with Lee Jae-myung, there is clearly an alternative for changing the power with Lee Jun-seok.”

He explained, “Changing power with Lee Jae-myung does not achieve generational change, but changing power through Lee Jun-seok can simultaneously achieve the transformation and generational change that the younger generation desires.”

He also criticized the People Power Party's candidate Kim Moon-soo and the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate Lee Jae-myung together.

The candidate said, “Candidate Kim has shown a considerably tilted right-wing path over the past 10 years, and there are even claims that he shares a significant portion of the same sentiment as Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon,” adding, “Only with a clear break from such aspects and an expression of regret about the past will the public take an interest.”

He asserted, “If Candidate Kim tries to gain votes from conservative voters based on support from former President Yoon Suk-yeol, voters will think that extending the Yoon Suk-yeol administration is the government he dreams of,” and stated, “The unification with Candidate Kim started at 0% and will continue to be 0%.”

The candidate criticized, “Candidate Lee Jae-myung speaks like a chameleon to evade crises, and since he is standing with his right turn signal on in the left lane, I do not trust the centrist conservatism he speaks of,” adding, “If this candidate is allowed to drive South Korea, I wonder if it will not be in a normal state but rather a state of mental strain.”

He continued, “Due to political slogans running rampant and vague politics, our country has stagnated and regressed,” stating, “I will overcome the stagnation of support rates by obtaining the public sentiment of South Korea through concrete politics.”

The candidate explained, “This morning, I went to Myongji Market, where former President Roh Moo-hyun campaigned alone 25 years ago. At that time, former President Roh expressed regret for being rejected simply for being from the Democratic Party, but he persisted and made clear his intention to continue challenging,” adding, “I want to ask the Busan citizens supporting Candidate Lee Jae-myung if the actions he took to seize hegemony within the party resemble the spirit of Roh Moo-hyun.”

Myongji Market is the place where former President Roh Moo-hyun delivered a speech in an empty lot after giving up his candidacy in Jongno, Seoul, in order to break regionalism during the 2000 general election.

On this day, the candidate presented his Busan pledges including the construction of a fully equipped new airport with two runways, providing tax benefits to financial institutions based in Busan, building a baseball stadium in the North Port redevelopment area, and establishing a data center special zone along with regulatory relaxation.
