The Han Duck-soo presidential candidate's camp stated early on the 10th that the People Power Party has canceled candidate Kim Moon-soo's qualification and that candidate Han has joined, referring to it as "the process of unification."

Spokesperson Lee Jeong-hyun from Han's camp responded to a media briefing on that day regarding the question, "Isn't it right that candidate Han doesn't register since candidate Kim didn't unify?" saying, "There is nothing wrong with saying that if unification doesn't happen, we won't register."

Candidate Han declared on the 7th, before the first negotiation meeting with candidate Kim, "If unification does not take place, I will not register as a candidate for the presidential election."

The spokesperson noted, "For unification, the established candidate must give up their vested rights, and giving up those rights itself is viewed as a candidate change," adding, "Therefore, it can be seen that the process of unification is currently underway." When asked, "There was a candidate change early this morning; should this be viewed as part of the unification process between candidate Kim and candidate Han?" they responded, "Yes."
