Park Hyung-soo, the floor leader, met with reporters after the floor strategy meeting that day and noted, "(The candidate) is scheduled to arrive at 11:30 a.m."

Earlier, floor leader Kwon reported during the morning's floor strategy meeting that Kim Moon-soo would attend the 의원총회, saying, "It is a very welcome and meaningful decision. I sincerely hope that the genuine efforts of candidate Kim Moon-soo for listening and communication lead to outcomes that meet the expectations of party members."

He evaluated the previous day's unification talks between candidate Kim and independent candidate Han Duck-soo, saying, "It fell short of expectations," and urged candidate Kim to reach a unification agreement with the candidate before the 11th.

Kwon stated, "Unification must be completed before candidate registration on the 11th for either of the two candidates to be able to carry the number 2 symbol. By carrying the number 2 symbol, the party can fully utilize its electoral assets and capabilities," adding, "The longer the unification process drags on, the deeper the emotional divide between the support bases of the two candidates will become. The longer the unification is delayed, the less effective it will be."
