Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate from the Reform Party who introduced light green license plates for corporate vehicles, announced the "pink license plate" pledge for families with three or more children on 9th. The pledge includes providing various benefits for vehicles owned by multi-child households.

Lee Jun-seok's election campaign policy committee explained through a policy briefing that they will implement a system to attach pink license plates to one vehicle owned by families with three or more children. Benefits will be provided for those vehicles, including the use of dedicated expressway lanes, family-only parking lots, and valet parking services.

Specifically, it was specified that multi-child dedicated parking spaces must be installed at public institutions and large buildings. Vehicles with a pink license plate will also receive a parking fee reduction of over 70%. The pink license plate vehicles can use dedicated lanes on expressways regardless of the number of passengers. They will receive a 50% discount on tolls on both public and private roads.

The candidate explained, "Rather than providing financial compensation to multi-child families, practical measures that can enable them to feel a sense of efficiency in daily life should be prepared. If the owners of vehicles with pink license plates enjoy various benefits and receive social respect, it will also meaningfully contribute to solving the low birth rate issue."

The candidate also suggested attaching light green license plates to corporate vehicles while serving as the leader of the People Power Party. The system was implemented starting January 2024 for passenger cars owned by corporations worth over 80 million won.
