The Seoul Southern District Court's Civil Division 51 (Chief Judge Kwon Seong-soo) rejected Kim's camp's injunction request to 'ban the national convention' on the 9th.

Accordingly, the People Power Party was able to hold a national convention to discuss matters related to presidential candidates.

Earlier, the People Power Party announced that it would convene a national committee on the 8th or 9th, and a national convention on the 10th or 11th, considering the possibility of a unification between Kim's camp and independent candidate Han Duck-soo. In response, some heads of external party committees supporting Kim filed an injunction to ban the national convention and the national committee.
