Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, criticized on the 8th, "Did the party conduct the primary up to the third stage just to select a mediocre presidential candidate? Does that make sense?"

Before the second unification negotiation with independent candidate Han Duck-soo, Kim noted in an interview with KBS 1TV's "Sasa Geon Geon" that he held a press conference to maintain his position as a "mediocre presidential candidate," targeting Kweon Seong-dong, the People Power Party's floor leader.

Kim stated, "Unification is an agreement reached through negotiation between candidates, and that is the basic rule of the primary," adding, "It is not right to completely exclude this process while one candidate wants it at a certain time and in a certain way, and the party organization fully supports it while I am entirely excluded and criticized."

He raised his voice against the party's decision to conduct a poll on the preference of 'Kim Moon-soo and Han Duck-soo candidates' on the 8th and 9th against his will, stating that this action was 'an inappropriate act.'

Kim remarked, "It is an inappropriate act to forcefully conduct a unilateral primary that seeks to remove me after I was officially chosen as the party candidate. In the past, when the presidential candidates were selected, emergency response committee heads would hand over full authority and resign. Now, they not only refuse to resign but continue to obstruct the election, so I will treat this as an inappropriate act and take serious measures."

In response to the criticism that "the synergy effect of unification with Han has been lost," Kim said, "The process of unification is not problematic just because it is noisy in the middle; what matters is whether it ends happily or not." He added, "I think we can discuss anything during a debate with Han."
