Na Kyung-won, a lawmaker from the People Power Party, said on the 7th that she requested Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, to provide a specific roadmap regarding unification with independent candidate Han Duck-soo. However, she also expressed her position that the claim for a 'candidate replacement,' which has been raised within the party, should not be entertained.

After meeting with Candidate Kim for about an hour at a location in Seoul that afternoon, Na noted that they exchanged opinions on current issues, including unification. Candidate Kim, having collided with the party leadership over unification, stated the night before that he would separately meet with candidates who participated in the primary to have in-depth discussions on current issues.

Na also met with reporters during a party meeting that afternoon and revealed, "I conveyed my demands regarding unification to Candidate Kim, and I earnestly requested that he present a more advanced specific roadmap at the meeting with Candidate Han at 6 p.m."

Regarding Candidate Kim's response, she said, "The decision is up to the candidate," and refrained from elaborating.

Na further emphasized that there should be no forced replacement of the presidential candidate due to the party's tight timeline.

She stated, "There is no provision in the party constitution for our party to replace a candidate. We cannot change candidates," and added, "Doing this forcefully would undermine the image of a public party." She continued, "Unification must proceed in accordance with the party constitution. Isn't it possible for the party to think beyond being overly focused on the registration date?" She remarked that while party-level support for Candidate Kim is not possible, support at the level of individual party members is certainly feasible.
