People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo will visit Daegu, Gyeongbuk (TK), and Busan on a two-day, one-night schedule starting on the 6th.

On that day, Kim plans to inspect recovery efforts in Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk, which suffered from a large wildfire, and comfort residents. In the afternoon, he will meet with merchants at Pohang's Jukdo Market and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) preparation support group in Gyeongju. He will then visit Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju, Dongseong-ro in Daegu, and Susong Lake in Daegu sequentially to expand contact with citizens.

After staying overnight in the area, Kim will head to Busan on the 7th. His local schedule is interpreted as demonstrating his intention to highlight that he is the official candidate of the party amid growing calls within the party for unification with independent candidate Han Duck-soo.

Meanwhile, independent presidential candidate Han Duck-soo will attend a Kwankun debate at 10 a.m. in Seoul. After his keynote remarks, he will engage in discussions with a panel of journalists. During this forum, topics such as Han's ▲background for candidacy ▲constitutional amendment plans ▲unification negotiations with People Power Party candidate Kim Moon-soo ▲relationship with former President Yoon Seok-youl are expected to be discussed. The debate will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel 'Kwanhun Club TV.'

After the debate, Han will have a luncheon meeting with Lee Nak-yon, a senior advisor of the New Future Democratic Party, at a restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul. During this meeting, discussions are expected to revolve around the so-called 'constitutional amendment big tent' linking the presidential election and constitutional amendment, as well as the establishment of an anti-Lee Jae-myung coalition. Lee, who served as the first Prime Minister under the Moon Jae-in administration, has recently effectively announced his candidacy for the June 3 presidential election.

In this context, the People Power Party approved a proposal for the formation of its election strategy committee early in the morning of the same day, accommodating Kim's request. Kim's side presented the establishment of a campaign committee, a change of the party's secretary-general, and the respect for party authority as prerequisites for proceeding with unification negotiations with Han's side.

In relation to this, the People Power Party will hold a general meeting of lawmakers in the afternoon to discuss unification and presidential election preparation strategies.
