Han Dong-hoon, former representative of the People Power Party, said that he was asked by Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, on the 4th to serve as the co-chair of the party's election campaign committee, and he requested more time to think about it, according to the People Power Party.

Shin Dong-uk, the Spokesperson, met with reporters after a meeting held at the National Assembly before the official launch of the party's election campaign committee and stated that the candidate Kim spoke with Han Dong-hoon this morning.

Earlier, candidate Kim announced that about four hours after being elected as the party's presidential candidate, he would appoint Han Dong-hoon, Na Kyung-won, Ahn Cheol-soo, Yang Hyang-ja, and others, who were candidates in the party's primary, as co-chairs of the campaign committee. However, there was no prior discussion with the individuals involved, and the appointment to the campaign committee was corrected to 'intended'.

On the same day, Han Dong-hoon did not appear for Kim's first schedule at the National Cemetery, unlike other intended co-chairs. It is reported that Han Dong-hoon is considering joining the campaign committee after a final candidate is confirmed following the unification negotiations that Kim is pursuing with former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. He had previously stated in his concession speech that he would "cheer from the sidelines."

Meanwhile, Ahn Cheol-soo, who was intended to be a co-chair, requested a "national apology for the martial law situation and impeachment" and a "commitment to constitutional amendment" on the same day. In response, Spokesperson Shin noted that the candidate Kim had no significant remarks and said it could be understood as Ahn's requests.

Ahn stated in a public comment during the meeting that "to open the future for our children and to stop the Lee Jae-myung era, we must all cross the 'river of martial law and impeachment,'" and he demanded two things from candidate Kim.
