Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, noted on the 3rd that there have been repeated simulated reports of attacks against him. The candidate was previously injured after being assaulted by an assailant while visiting Busan in January of last year.

The candidate's camp stated through Facebook on the morning of that day, “There have been repeated simulated reports of attacks against the candidate.”

They continued, “As a result, direct personal contact with the candidate will be difficult from now on,” and asked for “broad understanding.” The candidate is scheduled to visit Sokcho, Gangwon Province, that morning for a ‘listening tour’ in various neighborhoods.

Earlier, the candidate was attacked and injured by an assailant armed with a weapon in Busan in January of last year.
