Following this, Han spoke in his concession speech immediately after the final results were announced at the 5th national convention held that afternoon at KINTEX in Goyang, stating, “My journey ends here today, but I ask you to prevent our candidate Kim Moon-soo from making South Korea a dangerous country.”
He added, “I will be with the people and party members on clear days, rainy days, and snowy days.”
Han lost to candidate Kim Moon-soo, who received 56.53% of the votes, recording a final vote rate of 43.47% from the party members' electoral voting and public opinion polls conducted on the 1st and 2nd.
