Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, is visiting the eastern coastal region of Gangwon Province on the 3rd to listen to public sentiment. This comes as the Supreme Court recently overturned his public election law violation case with a guilty ruling, indicating he continues his presidential campaign.
The candidate will start from Sokcho, Gangwon, in the morning and visit Yangyang, Gangneung, Donghae, Samcheok, and Taebaek in turn to conduct a ‘listening tour’.
The candidate plans to travel along the ‘eastern coastal belt’ to visit local attractions, markets, and restaurants while communicating directly with residents of Gangwon Province.
On this day, the candidate is also expected to announce policies for revitalizing fishing villages in line with the eastern coastal schedule.
Earlier, the candidate visited border areas such as Pocheon and Yeoncheon in Gyeonggi Province on the 1st, and Cheorwon, Inje, and Goseong in Gangwon Province on the 2nd. These areas are classified as difficult regions for the Democratic Party. Plans are in place to continue the listening tour in the 'Dan-yang Eight Scenic Views Belt' in Danyang and Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 4th.
