Kweon Seong-dong, the Representative of the People Power Party, said on the 2nd regarding the background of Choi Sang-mok's resignation as Minister of Economy and Finance that, "After the Democratic Party of Korea blocked the exercise of the right to demand reconsideration through the Cabinet meeting, it is a preliminary work to pass unprecedented bad laws such as the abolition of the public election law's false information dissemination clause and the passage of the law to suspend trials upon presidential election."

The Democratic Party of Korea introduced the impeachment motion against Choi Sang-mok, the former Minister of Economy and Finance, in the plenary session the previous night, and the former Minister resigned just before the introduction.

During the intra-party countermeasures meeting held at the National Assembly, Kweon said, "As soon as an unfavorable Supreme Court ruling came out for candidate Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea exploited the discussion venue on people's livelihoods as the crime scene of the thirty-first impeachment terrorism."

He said, "Ultimately, the chaotic impeachment incident that occurred last evening is the first step in a colossal conspiracy to eliminate Lee Jae-myung's judicial risk and the prologue to an electoral crime plan." He added, "The government must devise all means to protect the Constitution from such a conspiracy to incapacitate the Cabinet."

Kweon also said, "If by any chance candidate Lee Jae-myung becomes president and fills the Constitutional Court with officials to his liking, he can render the relevant public election law provisions unconstitutional and abolish the legal text itself." He called it "law destruction" through the abolishment of the law that completely breaks the trial.

He stated, "The Democratic Party of Korea, which has seized the right to demand reconsideration from the president, can push for amendments to the law allowing pardons even for those who are under trial," and "Furthermore, there is a possibility of appointing a far-left-oriented Minister of Justice and mobilizing pro-Democratic Party prosecutors to attempt to cancel charges against cases undergoing the first trial." He concluded, "If this is not feasible, there might be a scenario of dismantling the prosecution, splitting it into a prosecution office, and appointing a significant number of left-wing lawyers to the prosecuting office's positions to induce dereliction of duty in order to secure an acquittal."

Kweon said, "The self-pardon project of the Lee Jae-myung faction is a feasible disaster" and added, "The Supreme Court ruling can only be fully completed when the political judgment of the people is also carried out."
