People Power Party candidates Kim Moon-soo and Han Dong-hoon focused all their efforts on securing party and public support on the 2nd, one day before the selection of the party's presidential candidate.

Candidate Kim focused on gaining support from the youth and party members, while candidate Han engaged with citizens in the strong electoral base area of Busan and South Gyeongsang Province (PK). The presidential candidate selection announced at the party convention on the 3rd will combine votes from the electoral group (50%) and public opinion surveys (50%).

On this day, candidate Kim appealed for support from citizens by riding the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (GTX) between Dongtan Station and Suseo Station with young supporters. The GTX is a project that candidate Kim started promoting during his tenure as the governor of Gyeonggi Province.

He then attended a policy presentation ceremony at the campaign office in Yeouido, Seoul, where he listened to the youth's pledges created by young individuals. At this event, he said, “If I take office, I will immediately begin the second pension reform so that the youth can become commissioners in proportion to the population.” He added, “Regarding youth issues, I will address them in a way that involves the youth in the solution process.” He went on to meet with district committee chairs at the People Power Party office in Seoul.

Candidate Han began his day by visiting the Masan Fish Market in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. When asked whether he positively interprets the voter turnout (44.83%) from the first day of party member voting that took place the previous day, which was higher than the turnout (42.13%) from the first day of the second primary, he responded, “I am just focused on the people.” He added, “Has the number crunching always been right? There’s no need to speculate,” and concluded, “I trust the expressions of everyone and the hopes and support from those I met in Daegu. I will win.”

Candidate Han remarked, “The economic situation in Masan is extremely poor, and with the withdrawal of Lotte Department Store, the citizens of Masan have been deeply hurt.” He promised, “If I become president, I will definitely attract a company that can give pride and energy back to the citizens of Masan in place of the former Lotte Department Store and will take care of it until the end.”

Candidate Han then visited Bupyeong Kkangtong Market in Busan to meet with citizens. In the afternoon, he planned to conduct a 'Happy Work' event at Magok District in Gangseo, Seoul, and at Seokchon Lake in Songpa.
