Lee Nak-yon, the senior advisor of the Democratic Party of Korea, noted on the 1st that the Supreme Court overturned the ruling against Democratic Party of Korea presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung regarding the Public Official Election Act, stating, "The party is in a serious situation, and it would be common sense to replace the candidate at this point."

In a statement posted on Facebook that day, the senior advisor said, "Today’s Supreme Court ruling confirms that common sense is alive, and I thank the justices for providing good news to the citizens who have often experienced the disappearance of common sense."

The senior advisor stated, "The reason I anticipated the overturning early on was due to the people's thirst for common sense and expectations from the Supreme Court," adding, "I hope the judiciary will make an effort, particularly urging a swift ruling from the Seoul High Court."
