Acting Prime Minister Han Duck-soo sent a congratulatory message to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on the 29th regarding the recent general election.
In the message, Acting Prime Minister Han said, "Korea and Canada have developed a close partnership based on shared values over the past 60 years."
He continued, "This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Korea-Canada Free Trade Agreement (FTA), a symbol of our mutual prosperity, and it is a special year for both countries to closely cooperate in the international community as chairs of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the Group of Seven (G7)."
Acting Prime Minister Han expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to work closely as comprehensive strategic partners, adding, "I wish you good health and endless development for Canada."
