Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 30th, "While there is nothing unimportant about the activities of the Election Countermeasure Committee (campaign committee), based on the experience of the last presidential election, addressing fake news is important."

After the launch ceremony of the Democratic Party's campaign committee held in the National Assembly member's council building that day, Lee responded to a question about "the organization that is focusing its capabilities the most" with this.

Lee emphasized, "Both policies, strategies, field organization, and campaigning are all important," but noted, "It is very important that information about policies and candidates is not distorted."

Regarding the committee's announcement that it would conduct this election as a "listening campaign," he explained, "The Democratic Party created a program called 'Everyone's Questions' before the election and made a record of the people's questions, saying, 'Rather than asking the public what we want, let's completely change direction to listen to what they want.'"

He added, "Until now, if we made unilateral claims and promises to the public with microphones and speakers, in the future, we should listen to the voices of the people, create policies from them, and reflect them in governance, which is exactly what the 'listening campaign' is about."

Regarding the campaign committee's establishment of candidate-specific committees, he explained, "This means we will continue to emphasize issues that the candidate is concerned about during the election process." A total of 15 candidate-specific committees, including the National Unity Committee, the National Talent Committee, and the Basic Social Committee, have been established under the campaign committee.

Regarding the population committee, he said, "Population issues are one of our country's very serious problems," and noted, "This time, since the government is launching without a transition committee, we plan to assign the task of preparing plans to execute population-related policies immediately."
