Ryu Young-sang, CEO of SK Telecom, will attend the National Assembly Science, Technology, Information, Broadcasting and Communications Committee hearing on the 30th regarding the SK Telecom SIM hacking incident.
The committee announced on the 29th that it decided to summon CEO Ryu following discussions between the Democratic Party of Korea and People Power Party's lawmakers. CEO Ryu is also said to have expressed his willingness to attend.
Initially, the committee had selected Ryu Jeong-hwan, SK Telecom's vice president, as a witness for the 'YTN and other broadcasting and communications sector hearing' scheduled for the 30th. However, in light of the seriousness of the hacking incident and public concerns, they decided to summon CEO Ryu.
