The People Power Party's primary election to determine the final two candidates concluded on the 28th.

On the 28th, the party's election management committee announced that 390,394 out of 765,773 party members participated in the voting held over the previous two days, resulting in a participation rate of 50.93%.

In the earlier mobile voting held the previous day, 322,648 members (42.13%) participated. Among the party members who did not participate in the mobile voting, an ARS survey conducted saw participation from 67,356 members (8.80%).

The second primary is being contested among four candidates: Kim Moon-soo, Ahn Cheol-soo, Han Dong-hoon, and Hong Joon-pyo (in alphabetical order).

The party will select a candidate if a member gains a majority of votes, with both party member voting and general public opinion polls each reflecting 50%. If not, a runoff will take place between the top two candidates.

The party's election management committee will announce the two candidates advancing to the third primary on the afternoon of the 29th if there is no majority winner.
