Her Eun-a, former leader of the Reform Party, left the Reform Party on the 23rd.

Former leader Her held a press conference in front of the main gate of the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, on that day and announced her departure. About 30 officials of the Reform Party also followed former leader Her.

She stated, “The reason for declaring my separation from the Reform Party, with which I once risked everything, is one: I can no longer love or support a party that has become the personal belonging of the false politician Lee Jun-seok.”

She added, “Reform has disappeared, and the party has become a political stage solely for Lee Jun-seok, who views himself as the ‘only one under heaven.’” She also noted, “The party’s assets have been degraded to tools for Lee Jun-seok’s political ambitions.”

Former leader Her said, “Lee Jun-seok’s Reform Party is no longer a future party where the people can pin their hopes.” She added, “I will surely open that path together with those who dream of genuine reform,” stating that “we will move toward politics of hope and responsibility beyond division and conflict.”

Regarding the possibility of running in an early presidential election, she said, “I thought I should show what true politics in the third zone is and that I must win,” while keeping all options open, including future founding plans.

Former leader Her is scheduled to hold a vision presentation for her presidential candidacy on the 24th.
