Reform Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung said on the 19th, “The Reform Party and I will lead this election by actively explaining whether we have a comparative advantage in terms of policies over the Democratic Party of Korea candidate Lee Jae-myung.”
After completing a picketing greeting in the Gangnam Station area that morning, Lee responded to reporters' questions about how he felt about People Power Party candidates trying to win by opposing Lee Jae-myung.
He said, “It is difficult to win an election in a confrontation structure between conservatism and progressivism after impeachment,” adding, “We must conduct the election through a clear contrast between the future and the past, and only by facing off between ▲ normal and abnormal ▲ reason and anti-intellectualism ▲ intellect and anti-intellect can we achieve victory.”
Regarding why he set up his presidential campaign near Gangnam Station instead of Yeouido in Seoul, he said, “The intention is to come to a crowded place, listen to people's stories, and convey our intentions directly.”
He noted, “I will strive to convey policies and various ideas for young people in this bustling place,” and added, “The campaign methods will start from support and we will present everything from election campaign activities in a completely new way.”
