The campaign committee held an emergency press conference at 5:40 p.m. that day at the National Assembly's communication room and said, "We plan to file a complaint with the Seoul Police Agency against six individuals suspected of spreading false information under the Public Official Election Act for spreading false facts and slandering the candidate."

The campaign committee stated, "It was posted on online communities and social media that the perpetrator of the vehicle ruckus incident near Dobong Station is the son of candidate Lee Jae-myung. However, a detective from the Dobong Police Station, which is currently investigating, described the driver as a middle-aged woman."

It added, "Ultimately, the actions of this spreader were aimed at preventing this candidate from winning the presidential election by disseminating false information about the candidate's direct descendants and slandering him. Therefore, a swift and thorough investigation must be conducted to punish them severely."
