The People Power Party held a media day at the central party office in Yeouido, Seoul, on the morning of 17th, confirming that A group, which will debate on the theme of 'youth future,' will include lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo, former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, and former lawmaker Yang Hyang-ja, among the eight candidates advancing to the first primary.

In Group B, which will discuss 'social integration,' Governor Lee Cheol-woo of Gyeongbuk, lawmaker Na Kyung-won, former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, and former Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo will compete. It is a key point to watch how former leader Hong defends against the three members of the 'anti-impeachment faction.'

The priority for determining the debate groups was given based on the order in which candidates arrived and signed their names on the time board at the party office. The first candidate to arrive was lawmaker Ahn. Following him were former minister Kim, Mayor Yoo, Governor Lee, lawmaker Na, former lawmaker Yang, former leader Han, and former Mayor Hong in that order.

Group A candidates will participate in the debate on the 19th, while Group B candidates will engage on the 20th.
