Park Soo-young, a member of the People Power Party, who has been at the forefront of the 'Han Duck-soo recruitment theory', joined Kim Moon-soo's presidential primary candidate camp on the 16th. If former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo is elected as the final candidate for the People Power Party and Han Duck-soo runs as an independent, it is anticipated that Park will play a role in the unification process.

On this day, former Minister Kim introduced that Park would serve as the 'Head of Policy Headquarters', Representative Eom Tae-young would be the Head of Organizational Headquarters, Representative Kim Seon-kyo would be the Head of the Advisory Group, and Representative In Yo-han would take on the role of the Chairman of the Special Committee for Strengthening the Korea-U.S. Alliance from the camp office in the morning.

At this meeting, Park stated, “After working together for four and a half years, I have developed infinite trust. Candidate Kim is an honest and competent person. I will ensure that Candidate Kim comes in first in the primary and take the lead in re-establishing the regime.” Park has a connection to Candidate Kim, having served as Deputy Governor during Kim's term as Governor of Gyeonggi Province.

Park has consistently advocated the so-called 'Han Duck-soo recruitment theory' until now. If former Minister Kim is confirmed as the candidate for the People Power Party, Park expressed his intention to play a 'bridging role' if unification with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who is acting as president, is pursued.

Re-elected Representative Eom Tae-young also noted, “Candidate Kim is rich in political power and experience, and above all, he is the most honest and clean person.” Representative Kim Seon-kyo stated, “I support him because I believe he is the only candidate who can defeat Lee Jae-myung.”

Representative In mentioned, “I support Candidate Kim Moon-soo to gather the strength of change, sacrifice, and coalition that the times demand.” Representative In, who has U.S. citizenship and is described as a 'naturalized citizen', is expected to play a role in Korea-U.S. relationship policies, including tariff negotiations.
