People Power Party member Ahn Cheol-soo criticized former Democratic Party of Korea leader Lee Jae-myung on the 14th, saying it was "absurd" for him to promise that a so-called Korean-style ChatGPT would be made available for free to all citizens.

On that day, Ahn noted on his Facebook that this reminded him of a public delivery app he had promised to create to eliminate fees during his time as the governor of Gyeonggi Province, stating, "The Gyeonggi public app ended up being treated like 'leftover rice' due to its inconvenient usability and low competitiveness."

He also stated, "What the government should have done at that time was to prevent market monopolies, and the roles of the government and corporations are separate; the public should not intervene in creating delivery apps, but all we received back were only insulting remarks."

Regarding Lee's claim that reduced working hours through AI would result in work-life balance, he said, "I cannot help but smile wryly."

Ahn remarked, "AI is both an opportunity and a threat, and it is change itself. It can create new jobs, but it can also eliminate them. We need to create a partnership model where AI works alongside people, not just having AI do all the work."

He criticized, "While promising to support the development and validation of AI-exclusive neural processing units (NPUs), he opposes the 52-hour special labor system absolutely necessary for chip development."

Ahn asked, "Are you aware that the biggest obstacle to AI advancement is the candidate Lee Jae-myung himself?" and proposed, "Let’s have a formal debate on AI."
