On the same day, former lawmaker Yoo stated on his social media, “Despite the conservative president being continuously impeached, the party refuses to properly reflect and change,” and reiterated, “I will not participate in the People Power Party's primary.”

He expressed that “(the People Power Party) has no sense of urgency” and remarked, “I am furious at the reality of taking the presidential election defeat as a given and clinging to vested interests after the loss.”

Former lawmaker Yoo also questioned, “I ask if there is even a little thought of winning against Lee Jae-myung,” adding, “The behavior of shrinking instead of expanding the territory of conservatism leaves me speechless.”

He concluded, “Wherever I am, I will continue on the path of true conservatism that I envision. I will strive to rebuild conservatism in a way that I am not ashamed of, alongside rational and common-sense citizens.”
