On the 12th, the day after former President Yoon Seok-yeol returned to his residence in Seocho-gu, supporters held rallies in the Gwanghwamun area of Jongno-gu and Seocho-gu.
The Korea Correctness Movement Headquarters, led by Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, held the 'Gwanghwamun National Assembly for the People's Right to Resistance' in the Gwanghwamun area of Jongno-gu at 1 p.m. The police's unofficial estimate indicated that over 10,000 people gathered by 2 p.m. that day.
Participants gathered around Donghwa Duty Free and Daehanmun held umbrellas or wore raincoats in the rainy weather, shouting slogans such as 'Yoon again' and 'Fraud impeachment.' The host claimed, 'Former President Yoon Seok-yeol must return to his rightful place and reveal the truth behind the illegal fraudulent impeachment.'
Rep. Jo Bae-suk of the People Power Party took the stage and noted, 'I know how hard you all have worked to protect this country in front of Gwanghwamun, Hannam-dong, and the Constitutional Court during last winter’s severe cold.' He added, 'The impeachment trial's ruling is not the end. The presidential election is still ahead, and we must unite.'
Supporters of former President Yoon, including the 'Freedom University,' held the 'Only Yoon Seok-yeol Again Rally' at exit 8 of the Gyodae Station on subway lines 2 and 3 at 2 p.m. According to police’s unofficial estimates at 3 p.m., about 2,000 participants waved flags with 'Yoon again' written on them, along with the Korean national flag. They shouted slogans such as 'Illegal impeachment,' 'Impeachment invalid,' and 'President Yoon Seok-yeol.'
Meanwhile, on that day, Democratic Party Senior Spokesperson Cho Seung-rae claimed during a briefing that the process of former President Yoon's departure from the residence 'created inconvenience by blocking the Hannam-dong area during commuting hours and parading, which replicated the arrogance, disconnection, and dogmatism of the past three years' and described it as 'the shameless behavior of a coup leader mocking the people until the end.'
