On the 11th, the government held a meeting of Inspectors General of central administrative agencies, chaired by Bang Gi-sun, head of the Office for Government Policy Coordination, at the Seoul Government Complex, discussing key initiatives to be pursued until the presidential election scheduled for June 3.

At the meeting, the Inspectors General decided to strengthen agency-specific training and self-audit activities to ensure the political neutrality of public officials.

The government plans to strictly crack down on acts that violate political neutrality, such as high-ranking public officials conducting election campaigns against subordinate public servants or participating in political activities promoting specific parties or candidates.

Additionally, the government decided to work on fostering a working atmosphere within the public sector to prevent any inconvenience to the public in closely related areas such as safety and people's livelihoods.

In cases where misconduct is detected—such as laxity in service discipline, inappropriate behavior, sexual misconduct, and the acceptance of money or favors—the government plans to take strict measures.

The meeting was attended by Inspectors General from 49 central administrative agencies (19 ministries, 6 committees, 20 offices, 3 departments, and the Office for Government Policy Coordination).
